MIT OpenCourseWare Update: August 2007

A Monthly E-mail Newsletter for Users and Friends of MIT OpenCourseWare

In this issue:

1. Coming soon – A Fresh Look for MIT OpenCourseWare!

In September, you’ll see a cool new design of the OCW website.  Free with no registration, the site will easily guide you to the courses you want, with links to new courses, audio/video courses, and translations.  You’ll also see new faces and hear from people around the world about how they use OCW.

2. OCW Mirror Site Program

The OCW Mirror Site Program provides free copies of the MIT OCW website to educational organizations with limited or prohibitively costly internet access. Interested institutions should contact OCW.

3. Views from Visitors - How OCW Makes a Difference

“Though I am just a middle school student from a small town, I like MIT OCW very much, especially physics. A small town and a small school can keep my eyes from the big world. But thanks to OCW, I can learn more about my favorite subject. In fact it is not very useful for my grades, but when I see the wonderful knowledge I realize that my school work is just a small step of the tower of knowledge. OCW opens my eyes.” ....”
– Student, China

We love hearing from you and how you use MIT OCW materials to improve your life. We need your help to continue providing these benefits! MIT OCW will always be a free and open digital publication, but your donation (small or large) helps us continue to offer a high-quality publication of MIT’s course materials.

Your gift of $50, $100, $500 or whatever amount is right for you will enable us to keep MIT OCW vibrant and up to date. Thank you!
